Kelly Clarkson: Why She Chose "Voice" Over "Idol"

Kelly Clarkson said she was “kind of bummed” when producers of the “American Idol” reboot asked her to be a judge – because she was already committing to being a judge on “The Voice” instead.  It did seem a bit strange when we heard back a while ago that Kelly had turned down “Idol” to be on “The Voice,” but she is finally explaining her decision.  Kelly’s husband, Brandon Blackstock, is “Voice” judge Blake Shelton’s manager, so the couple and their four kids are already on NBC’s set often and they are used to the schedule.  The latest season of “The Voice” season 13 premieres September 25 with judges Blake, Adam Levine, Miley Cyrus, and Jennifer Hudson.  Kelly will be on for season 14 next year!

Mindy Kaling is expecting a baby girl!  Some of her “Mindy Project” co-stars spilled the beans at a media event on Friday.
